Bistro Amerigo: Cozy Italian Dining in Montreal

What an unforgettable dining experience! From the moment we sat down, we were taken care of by Roberto, who was an absolute gem of a server—sweet, warm, and authentic. He made us laugh, told stories like everyone's Nonno, and made us feel right at home. The food was phenomenal. We started with the veal meatball—tender, rich, and perfectly seasoned. The seafood platter was fresh and generous, and the linguine with sardines was a standout—bold, flavorful, and done just right. We finished with a crisp, creamy cannoli that hit the spot. The ambience was exactly what you'd want for a cozy Italian dinner: dim lighting, a little loud, but so familiar it felt like a big family gathering. Highly recommend—can’t wait to come back!

Finally tried out this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Had an amazing experience! Everything was delicious!! Especially the Gnocchi Funghi e Tartufata I’ve had gnocchi pasta in the past and they all tasted mushy/doughy. But the gnocchi I had tonight was soft and not tooo firm!! What I would suggest is to try and come earlier since wait time was about 45minutes and I was pretty hungry. Aside that, the service, atmosphere and fooood was 10/10!! Stomach was very happy

Loved the food! Came here as a group of 4 on a Tuesday evening. We ordered a lot of food and we're very pleased! The service was very family style and laid back, the restaurant is small and cozy. The prices are reasonable but mainly the food was very tasty! All the pasta was good, the appetizers as well. We had the calamari, mozzarella di bufalla, shrimp ravioli, duck ragout pasta, Italian sausage pasta and braised beef. All delicious! Thank you

I used to work as a chef in Sydney, so for me people saying Montreal is a gourmet city felt like a huge myth UNTIL I came across to this place. All the ingredients are just simply fresh and each ingredients hold their natural flavour and it is just amazing, just AMAZING. And only 4 for the Arancini with that fresh juicy tomato sauce? please please try it. The service is great as well , love the atmosphere , portions are generous. And I’ll say it again, SIMPLY AMAZING, Hell AMAZING.

One of the most Authentic italian restaurants in Montreal. You won’t find the regular alfredo chicken pasta there. All dishes are authentic italian which are great dishes. The place is very cozy small and every one seemed to know each other. The service is perfect the waitresses are very nice and welcoming. Drinks are great too. I definitely recommend their gnocchi dish it’s delicious. A bit pricey but worth it.

I would just like to share my experience through Uber Eats. I was craving gnocchi bolognese but that was not an option on the menu. Nonetheless, I love this restaurant so I ordered anyway. In the comments, I asked if they would possibly sub out pappardelle for gnocchi if they could. Chef Alex not only switched out the pasta, but wrote back an incredibly kind note and included a cannoli. Kindness like this truly restores my faith in humanity. Thank you so very much and I will continue to be a loyal customer!
